Christian Dior Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2016

The Christian Dior hot couture spring/summer 2016 show was held at the Gardens of the Musee Radin in Paris. The show contained a mirrored décor created an illusion of the Dior women to appear and disappear with its reflection. There was a mixture of femininity and masculinity, which was portrayed through the effortless and structured pieces. Many trends were shown in this show some being the off the shoulder sexy with a classic silhouette and others very exotic and sexy through lace and silk flowing pieces. The bar jacket was shown to change the appearance of the show depending if it was worn closed in a hourglass shape or loose in a boxy silhouette. The entire show was dark and whimsical with symbols and charms are worn on clothing to represent good luck. Ultra feminine layering with volumes of unexpected contrast of texture and cut were seen on the Dior women. There were knits stitched like lace and Lily-of-valley embroidery on a variety of different shapes and silhouettes. This show was for every woman, whether you were looking for a twist on a classic A-line skirt or a night out sexy lace/ silk ensemble. For shoes the season ahead is the classic pointy heel pump with a bow feminine detail on the ankle. There were a variety of color combinations from neutral tones (white, black, camel) to green, blue and reds. This Dior woman looks effortlessly chic in her off the shoulder-structured shirt and her below the knee side cut skirt. This woman has a classic and exotic essence to her wardrobe. The Dior couture show portrayed the Parisian of today to be spontaneous, relaxed and modern in spirit. Her attitude portrays confidence and feminity. Women should dress freely without fuss and Dior couture spring/summer 2016 has proven to portray this spirit.
